Looks Like A Long Tail Boxer

I have always had a fondness in my heart for the boxer breed but at this point in my life I can not nurse a puppy who has to go through the necessary docking of the tail. I would like to get a type of breed where they resembled the boxer but I did not have to worry about an overly excited tail knocking me out either. I saw that the pugaliers puppies look very similar to a boxer and then I was really quite impressed with their full tails as adults. Would this be a good breed for me if I am fond of boxers?
