In between nine months and two years of surgical technologist training, you can become qualified to work as a part of a surgical team. These professionals help prepare patients for surgery and often perform patient transport too. Prior to the surgery, scrubs set up the operating room, arrange instrument and so on. In the operating room, they assist the surgeon during the operation by passing instruments and so on.
